Echoes

“What we have seen and heard we proclaim to you also, that you also may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father, and with His Son Jesus Christ.”
1 John 1:3

Echoes, echoes everywhere. Whatever is popular, whatever ‘works,’ whatever seems like a revelation of our Lord Jesus is proclaimed by so many today. Echoing what they have not experienced. Why is that? Is it because many of the ‘voices’ speaking forth are not sharing Him whom they have ‘seen and heard,’ instead talking about Him whom others know?

I have worked with men who had listened to so many tapes of well known bible teachers that they talked like them, with the same mannerisms, using the same catchy phrases, repeating the same truths that were taught by these renowned, godly teachers. Many times they even ‘proclaimed’ these truths as their own. Imitations of the real thing. Don’t settle for that—in yourself or those who minister to you.

Personal relationship with the Living God is for all those who call upon His name with their heart. No philosophers will see Him. No theorists will hear Him. No one with a personal agenda will have fellowship with Him. Yet, He is always waiting with arms wide open for these and for you and for me—for everyone—if we will but cry out to Him from a broken and contrite heart.

The peoples of this earth are waiting for true disciples of Jesus Christ. Men and women who have ‘seen and heard,’ men and women who have intimate, spiritual, relationship with Him. Sons and daughters who know their Dad. It will cost you everything that you value in this world. Will you be one of these? If so, you will become a vessel of honor that proclaims the True One and sets hearts on fire in search of Him. And everyone who seeks shall surely find Him!

Will you be one of these?
